welcome welcome ist mehr als nur ein Typografiekurs. Wir erarbeiten inhaltliche und gestalterische Ideen, um Internationalität auf unserem Campus zu leben: Wie heißen wir Neuankömmlinge an der FHP willkommen? Zum Beispiel internationale Austauschstudierende? Welche Formate können wir neu erfinden, um das Ankommen und die erste Orientierung zu erleichtern? In diesem Semester entwickeln wir nicht nur Druckerzeugnisse, sondern auch Aktionen und Ideen für ein internationales Miteinander.

Kursinhalte: Ideenentwicklung, inhaltliche Konzeption, Strukturierung von Inhalten durch Typografie, Schrift und Wirkung, Zusammenspiel von Text- und Bildinformationen.

welcome welcome heißt alle Studierende – und insbesondere internationale Studierende – herzlich willkommen. Je nach Sprachkenntnissen, können kleine oder ganze Teile des Kurses auf englisch stattfinden.

Inhaltlich wird der Kurs vom International Office begleitet. Die Projektergebnisse werden am 30. Juni 2022 im Rahmen des International Day an der FHP präsentiert.

Optionales Angebot

In Ergänzung wird der Grundlagenkurs Produktionsprozess Druck von Christine Mangelsdorf angeboten. Hier werden die Grundlagen im Produktionsprozess Druck theoretisch und praktisch vermittelt. Zentrale Themen sind Farbräume, Druckverfahren und die Aufbereitung der Daten für das Farbmanagement und für die Ausgabe. Der Grundlagenkurs begleitet ebenfalls den Produktionsprozess der im Entwurfskurs entstehenden Projekte.

Der Grundlagenkurs Produktionsprozess Druck ist ein optionales Angebot. Eine Einschreibung im Vorfeld ist nicht notwendig. Es entstehen Kosten für die Ausgabe im Digitaldruck, je nach Verbrauch.

Beide Kurse werden soweit möglich in Präsenz angeboten, es gelten die jeweils aktuellen Coronaregeln.

welcome welcome is more than just a typography course. We will focus on content and design concepts in order to live and experience internationality on our campus: How do we welcome newcomers to the FHP? For example, international exchange students? What can we re-invent to ease arrival and first orientation? During this semester we will develop not only printed matter, but also actions and ideas for an international togetherness.

Course content: Idea development, content conception, typography structured content, typeface and its impact, interplay of text and image information.

welcome welcome is open to all students – and international participants are most welcome. Depending on language skills, parts or the whole course may be held in English.

The content of the course is supported by the International Office. Resulting projects will be presented at the International Day at FHP on June 30, 2022.

Optional offer

In addition to this design seminar, Christine Mangelsdorf offers a basic course in the production process of printing. Basics in the production process are taught theoretically and practically. Central topics are color spaces, printing processes and the preparation of data for color management and output. The course also assists in the production of the projects created in the design course.

The basic course Production process printing is an optional offer. A separate registration in advance is not necessary. There is a cost for digital printing output, depending on usage.
