Nowadays, the use of video as a format to convey news is more relevant than ever, with video platforms becoming important hubs for news consumption. During this project week, we explore how to design and deliver data visualization content for linear as well as social media news segments. We do this in cooperation with BR Data, the data journalism team at Bayerischer Rundfunk. Together we will analyze existing formats for both linear and digital news and create our own pieces. To do so, we will use a combination of journalistic and information design strategies to analyze, visualize, and narrate newsworthy datasets.
