Real-world data can be a real pain in the neck: Inconsistencies, inaccuracies, errors, missing values, duplicates, multiple datasets, large files, obscure formats. No need to get all tense, though! With a bit of patience all datasets can be prepared and processed to become meaningful and manageable. This course is all about getting data into shape so that we can confidently and creatively work with it, whether you want to use data in the context of user research, investigative journalism, or data visualization. In this course, we try out a range of tools and techniques for cleaning, wrangling, and processing data, with the goal to give you peace of mind for your next data project. You can bring your own data, but there will also be example datasets to practice your data dexterity.
