This course is an introduction to designing applications for Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality with the Unity Game Engine.

The students will learn the main platforms, technologies and constraints involved in the creation of VR-MR-AR applications.

The course includes both theory, design practice and programming (C#), and the students are expected to create a finished prototype and documentation as a final project. Active participation in class is a requirement.

The students will acquire skills in using the Unity Game Engine, Maya, Cinema 4D or Blender and building applications for Mobile or XR specific devices such as the Hololens, HTC Vive or Windows Mixed Reality immersive headsets.

In order to accomplish the course goals, students need to have access to a modern computer, mac or pc, with at least 8 gigabytes of available space (to install Unity). If such a device is not available to you, but you really want to participate, please talk to the instructor.

The class takes place in the Interface-Werkstatt and is limited to 20 participants, the decision on who can partake shall be made after the first meeting. Priority will be given to students with high motivation and desire to learn.
