The „Service Design Advanced“ course invites students from all design disciplines to embark on an innovative exploration of museum experiences, with a special focus on new forms of participation within the museum context.

In partnership with the publicly-funded Berlin city-museum (Märkisches Museum), this course aims to redefine the traditional museum experience by examining and experimenting („erproben“) with concepts that encompass the „before,“ „during,“ and „after“ stages of a visitor's journey. Emphasizing spatial, visual, and digital aspects of design, the course seeks to cultivate an advanced understanding of service design, aligned with democratic values and participatory principles.
