During the semester, we kept a visual diary and captured one image per day, eventually engaging into a specific motif for the photographic series about the concept of „Raum“.
The interplay of light and shadow draws you into a world where darkness meets illumination. The contrast between light and shadow creates intriguing shapes and patterns, thus creating a space that invites you to explore it.
Here's a collection of photos I took over the past few months during my visual diary exploration.
Presentation about the photographer Gabriele Basilico.
For this exercise we had to find a postcard of a landmark and try to take the photo with the same perspective.
Here are the 10 photos I chose for the eventual exhibition.
There’s more out there, beyond what we see,
A world the real just can’t capture.
Windows, water, mirrors’ gleam,
Little fragments of an elusive chapter.
Light and shadow, merging spaces,
They whisper secrets and blur the lines,
In reflections I find new places,
Where dreams reside and wonder shines.
When I started the photography course, I was really nervous because I didn't have any experience. The technical stuff seemed really hard, and I was worried about keeping up with everyone else. But I soon realized that photography isn't just about having perfect skills – it's about what you want to say with your photos.
The way we gave and received feedback was super helpful. Getting and giving constructive advice in a friendly group made a big difference for me.
This course has helped me dive into the photography world. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity I had to learn and grow through it.
