Making ordering, cooking and eating a better experience.
We have designed a system that allows customers to order food to cooking stations which are located all over the city. For using it at your Co-working, office or shared living you have the opportunity to rent the hub on a subscription basis.
With the growth of technology our lives are getting faster and more complex every day. Rising efficiency in work and life is our daily challenge.
But is that really what we are striving for?
The world is changing with us and our responsibility as product creators is to
respect every being on planet earth. With the environment in our best interest, our goal is to make the experience of ordering food social, sustainable and effortless.
We understand the term sustainability according to its three equally important pillars: economical, social and ecological.
ecology: returning delivery boxes, and re- using those
economy: getting percentages from successful services like hello fresh or ubereats. Getting paid on a daily base by renting plattform kitchen islands
social: bringing people together in a social environment. Creating work opportunities for people who deliver or do service for the kitchen island.
A recent study revealed that store meals produce 33% more greenhouse gas emissions than their equivalents from delivered meal kit services (1). And the good news are: investing in meal kit service makes economic sense. The revenue of the worldwirde meal kit service market is forecast to grow to around 7.63 billion U.S. dollars by 2025 (2).
We have designed a system that allows customers to order food to cooking stations (hub) which are located all over the city. For using it at your Coworking, office or shared living you have the opportunity to book the hub on a subscription basis. Facilities are provided for groups of people to prepare food and eat together.
Caring about the environment and experiences that everyone can live, we thought about something new that
fullfills our needs in the future, respecting environment and giving the the most comfortable experience without prooducing waste.

PLATFORM meets the three basic forms of sustainability, while offering the customer a maximum user experience.
IMPACT.
PLATFORM customers produce less food waste and therefore minimise their CO2 footprint. The extensive use of recycled materials for the product line ensures
that Platform becomes a symbol for fully sustainable meal kit delivery.
PLATFORM creates a unique opportunity for SIEMENS to join the global scope of new- delivery players. The collaboration with existing delivery food companies guarantees a robust growth and Siemens should not loose this profit occasion.
The collective ritual of cooking is re- established in our global communities, fostering social exchange and human well-being.

As the final event has been postponed because of Covid-19 we didn’t had the possibility to document our models properly. We are just able to share process documentation and interm photographs of the pre setup at Haus der Kunst in Munich, one week before the event got cancelled.
